As Managing Partner of KoMarketing, Derek leads strategy, direction, and growth of the organization.

Professional Biography

Derek has over 12 years experience working in SEO and online marketing working with a range of clients across industry sectors. While some of the more well known brands include John Deere, Hallmark, Kaspersky Lab, Hewlett Packard, Covidien, and Stanley Black & Decker, Derek’s client experience ranges from the Fortune 500 to entrepreneurial start-ups and family-run organizations. Prior to KoMarketing, Derek’s past professional experience includes work in the Professional Services division of Bowe Bell & Howell’s Software Solutions as well as work with the Web Marketing Division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.

Derek has presented to audiences for SMX, ClickZ, Business Wire and Microsoft, has been a guest lecturer at Bentley College, and is active in a range of New England communities supporting online marketing. He is also a regular contributor on Search Engine Land and the Content Marketing Institute.

Derek received his MBA from The Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University and holds a B.S. in Financial Economics from Buffalo State College in NY.
