2017 Conference Preview: Discover, SMX, Pubcon & More!

If you know anything about February and March in New England, you know the words “warm” and “sunny” are not common descriptors. The nice thing is, conference organizers also know this so they hold conferences in warm places like Arizona and Florida. Count me in!

As we kick off 2017, several KoMarketing team members will be getting out of the cold and making their way across the US to attend a number of conferences, including Digital Olympus, Discover Global Markets, HIMSS, Pubcon SFIMA and SMX West.

Digital Olympus – Feb 6th

Digital Olympus is a one-day, online digital marketing conference. There have been several editions of the conference but what makes this one particularly awesome is it features an all-female line up. Rock on!

Sessions will be happening throughout the day so even if you can’t attend all of them, make sure to tune in for at least one…you know…maybe the 10am one.

Discover Global Markets: Advanced Manufacturing – Feb 16th & 17th

KoMarketing has been a partner of the U.S. Commercial Service department for several years now and, as a result, you can usually find a KoMarketing team member at the Discover conferences.

Next month, Derek will be headed to Arizona to talk digital strategies for advanced manufacturers. With a number of manufacturers in the KoMarketing family, the Discover audience is in for a treat.

HIMSS is an annual conference that brings together health IT professionals, clinicians, executives, and vendors from around the world.

The conference features world-class speakers, cutting-edge health IT products, and killer networking events. KoMarketing will not be speaking at the show but our own Jenna Bessemer will be attending on behalf of clients. Make sure to say hi to her!

Pubcon SFIMA – Feb 22nd

Location: Ft. Lauderdale, FL

A few months back, Derek asked me if I was pitching Pubcon SFIMA. Being November in Boston, Ft. Lauderdale sounded really great.

Thankfully my pitch was accepted and I’ll be headed down to Florida for the one-day event. Pubcon holds regional shows in addition to the giant Las Vegas conference and I really love them. They’re fast-paced, intimate, and you get some fantastic presentations from marketing pros.

In this session, we’ll look at how content marketers can use real-time data to identify top performing content pieces and turn them into new assets. It’s no secret I love SMX, and this SMX West will mark my five-year anniversary of speaking at their shows. Super cool!
