Understanding Content Marketing Strategy: 6 Fantastic Infographics

In MarketingSherpa’s soon to be released 2012 SEO benchmark report, content creation is identified as the most effective SEO tactic for marketers, but it also takes the most work in development. Enter the concept of content marketing; which emphasizes the importance of developing content meant to engage and provide value to a potential target market. Content marketing can be almost perfectly aligned with B2B SEO and I’ve been writing frequently about this relationship in a series of articles online.

Effective content marketing strategies:

  • Provide an opportunity for the application of SEO keyword strategy
  • Drive links through content meant to add value and be shared throughout social media channels

But content marketing is more than simply “creating good content”. There needs to be strategy, planning, and careful execution to unlock it’s full potential. The team at Eloqua have developed a content marketing infographic outlining this thought process, that we wanted to share with our audiences as well.

In addition, we thought we would take a trip back through the past year at a select group of additional infographics that help explain the challenges, strategies, and opportunities found in content marketing. We hope you enjoy.
