Video Tutorial: How to Write a Blog Post in WordPress

How to write a blog post with wordpress

Here is a video tutorial from the WordPress Training Blog that we have passed along to a few people inquiring on how writing a blog post in WordPress. Feedback has been quite positive so we wanted to share it with our readers.

While quite comprehensive (20 minutes is certainly a time investment), the video covers everything you need to know, using a recorded walk through right from the presenter’s WP dashboard. Buy that guy a cup of coffee if you find that video valuable (we did :-))

The Increased Use of Video Content
This example brings up an interesting point worth mentioning to the B2B marketer. As indicated in a KoMarketing news article we published just this morning, more people are turning to online video.

What does this mean for B2B marketers?

The WordPress tutorial is a great example of how an organization can take a potentially time-intensive piece of training and scale distribution. Video not only can be posted on a blog and emailed out for reference, it can be placed in sites such as YouTube and Metacafe as well. Video is rapidly being adopted by the users of mobile devices as well.

Organizations that sell complex solutions should consider how they can leverage video. Examples might include:

  • Demos of a technology solutions’ GUI or admin dashboards
  • A guided tour of facilities or infrastructure capabilities
  • Tutorials of key functionality or commonly asked support questions

As we move forward in 2011, we are looking at ways we can leverage video for our client’s internet marketing initiatives. Our goal is to explore this more in future blog posts as well.

“Working with KoMarketing was more like a partnership as supposed to just another consulting project. We learned a lot from KoMarketing, while excelling in all aspects of SEO for our website. If your looking for a hard working, dedicated team, KoMarketing is a partnership you won’t regret.”
