79% of Marketers Say Instagram is ‘Important’ for Influencer Marketing
As more marketers look to influencer marketing to achieve their top objectives, new research indicates that Instagram is growing in importance as a platform.
HypeAuditor recently conducted the “State of Influencer Marketing Report 2021,” and statistics showed that the majority of marketing specialists (79%) consider Instagram “important” for their influencer marketing campaigns. This makes it the most popular social media channel for influencer marketing, in particular.
Approximately 62% of marketers claim that they’ve seen an increase in sales when working with influencers on social media advertising campaigns as well.
“It comes as no surprise,” wrote the authors of the report. “Influencer marketing on Instagram removes the barriers of traditional advertising because customers get to know about your brand from someone they trust. And it happens on an authentic platform they use on a daily basis. When a creator recommends a product or service, it comes across as a credible recommendation, and this is a great advantage for brands.”
Influencer Marketing As a Tactic in 2021
The shift toward influencer marketing has been a long time coming, and previous research is indicative of this, as marketers look to leverage social media.
Influencer Marketing Hub published its “Influencer Marketing Benchmark” report for 2021, and data indicated that 90% of marketers believe influencer marketing is effective. In addition, three-fourths of marketers intend to dedicate a budget to influencer marketing at some point in 2021.
About 62% of respondents claimed that they will likely increase their influencer marketing budget in 2021.
