85% of Marketers Now Interested in Exploring New Marketing Channels

As marketers look for new ways to improve how they resonate with their target audience, new research suggests that they are becoming open to trying emerging channels.

RRD recently published the results of a survey conducted among 500 marketing decision makers, and statistics indicated that the majority (85%) are now interested in exploring new, innovative marketing channels. This is opposed to just staying with their existing channels with high returns.

Thus far, most respondents (33%) say that social media marketing has yielded the best return-on-investment (ROI) in 2022. This is compared to 23% who said the same about the channel back in 2021. About 12% cited SEO in terms of the channel that has provided the best ROI this year, and 10% credited email marketing.

Discovering the Marketing Potential of Social Media

With more marketers seeing positive results from leveraging social media, previous research indicates that it has seen extensive growth in 2022.

HubSpot conducted its “State of Inbound Marketing Trends” report, and data suggested that social media (44%) has become the top marketing channel this year, followed by website/blog (36%). Email marketing (35%) and content marketing (32%) were also cited as top channels.

About 16% of respondents claimed that social media has been a top website traffic source. Furthermore, the majority stated that it has been their most effective channel for acquiring new customers over the past 12 months. Nearly 47% claimed that they use content on social media that reflects their organization’s values.
