Survey: Facebook Leads the Way Among Marketers Who Use Social Media
Social media marketing continues to be a prominent tactic for marketers, but which social networks do customers turn to the most?
To answer this question and others, The Manifest recently surveyed 627 social media users to learn more about their habits, which platforms they prefer, and how they access them. Statistics showed that almost everyone (86 percent) uses social media at least once per day, and 72 percent of respondents use it multiple times per day. Among the most used platforms, Facebook leads the way, with 82 percent saying they use it at least once per week. This was followed by YouTube (75 percent) and Instagram (53 percent).
When it comes to social media networks that people use more frequently in 2018 compared to 2017, however, YouTube comes in the top spot (63 percent), followed by Instagram (61 percent).
Marketing Executives and Social Media Use
It isn’t just the average marketer who is using social media to achieve their top objectives. According to previous research, marketing executives are also now turning to platforms, such as Facebook and YouTube, to reach out to their target audiences.
Mission Control Marketing published the “Which Marketing Channels Lead to Sales? The 2019 Definitive Guide for Buying a Marketing Strategy that Influences B2B Sales” report and statistics showed that 70 percent of marketing executives now use social media regularly for business purposes.
In addition, about 67 percent of respondents said that they use the channel every day. Nearly 39 percent of those who are customers as well say that social media has actually influenced their most recent decision to choose a vendor.
