Survey: Marketers Remain Skeptical of Artificial Intelligence as a Solution
New data suggests that although artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming more prominent, organizations still have mixed feelings about it. That being said, those who have deployed AI are utilizing it for marketing purposes.
ICUC Social recently conducted its “Artificial Intelligence Survey” to determine how marketers feel about AI and its usefulness at their companies. Respondents were asked to rate the importance of AI on a scale of one to ten, with ten being “extremely important.” In terms of impact, marketers gave AI a 6/10, indicating that it is not currently “a game-changer.”
An average of 5.5/10 said it was “somewhat important” to find AI solutions for their businesses “right now.” About 68 percent stated that they are not using AI in any capacity at their company, but out of those who are, 60 percent claimed it is being utilized for marketing purposes.
Approximately 20 percent of people who are using AI say it’s “already hitting home” for them. Fifteen percent believe that type of impact to come within the next 12 months.
Utilizing AI to Solve SEO Marketing Challenges
When it comes to challenges surrounding SEO, previous research suggests that AI may be a viable solution.
According to a survey conducted by SearchDex, 91 percent of marketers still find managing SEO to be difficult. About 35 percent claim that they do not have the right tools for SEO, and many believe that AI could help them in this area.
Approximately 61 percent of respondents stated that they believe AI can help them with search anomalies in their current SEO strategy. Fifty-eight percent think it could help them keep their SEO plan current based on the competition.
